Converting PDF to Word: what to know
When you need it
You received a contract, a CV or a report as a PDF and need to change the text: correct a figure, update a date, reuse a paragraph. Converting it to Word gives you a document you can edit instead of retyping it.
What to expect
The page comes out looking almost the same, but each line of text becomes its own text box, and tables are drawn with lines rather than rebuilt as Word tables. That makes small corrections easy (a name, a date, a figure) and long rewrites awkward, because the text does not flow from one line to the next. A scanned PDF is a picture of a page with no text to extract, so it won't become editable: that needs OCR, which this converter doesn't do.

What is PDF?
